Inspired by the inner journey of my students, I am devoted to creating a nurturing, loving and joyful environment so each student can fulfill their potential.



I discovered Bikram Yoga in 2001 while stationed on an aircraft carrier. It saved my sanity. I graduated from TT in 2005. I am now finishing Dharma Mittra's 500-hour training to expand my experience with all eight limbs of yoga. Off the mat, I am a KonMari consultant (home decluttering and organizing) and I enjoy spending time with my husband and son.

I first tried Bikram Yoga for the challenge, but continued because it healed me inside and out. I’m honored to share this powerful practice with you and look forward to seeing you on the mat. In my spare time, I bartend, travel, and do crosswords–sometimes all at the same time!



I have been practicing yoga for 8 years and teaching for 5. I received my 240 hr RYT at Neighborhood Yoga nestled in the mountains of Western NC. Am influenced by Anusara, Tantric, Bikram and Yin teachers but mostly by the brave, beautiful souls that teach me mindfulness and compassion on and off the mat.

I became a Bikram instructor in the spring of 2011 and taught in Los Angeles. Outside the hot room, I love traveling, tacos and surfing (I'm learning). I have a masters degree in Public Health.



I graduated Teacher Training in Spring 2010 and began teaching in Las Vegas, surrounded by showgirls, actors and other glittery teachers and students. I moved to the DC area in 2011 and am thrilled to be a part of the culture of this wonderful town. When not in the hot room, I enjoy spending time with my husband and wacky muppet dog, trying new restaurants, traveling, art, and a good book.

I am a dedicated student and daily practitioner of yoga (since 2001). I'm fascinated by hatha yoga's intersection of human movement and insight practice. I encourage the therapeutic benefits of practice for the body and the mind–and hopefully the spirit, too. For this, I am most grateful to my teachers.



I have been practicing yoga since 2007 and I went to teacher training in 2011. I enjoy spending time with my husband and dogs. When not doing yoga, I like to snowboard, sail and camp.



I enjoy sharing my knowledge with students and am inspired by yoga and the movement arts. I became certified to teach Bikram Yoga in 2002 and am trained in martial arts, vipassana meditation and thai yoga massage. I am also trained in culinary arts.



I began practicing at Hot Spot Dupont in 2004, and became a certified teacher in 2013. When not traveling for my work in international development, I love practicing and teaching, especially at BYD. I have been a guest teacher in Liberia, Maui, Kauai, and Palm Desert, CA.

I became a teacher in June 2005. I work as an actor and will shamelessly promote any show I am in. I like coffee, naps, NY Times crossword puzzles and Teaism. I also like it when students bring jokes to the front desk (keep it relatively clean, folks).

I've practiced yoga most of my adult life. I'm a scientist and certified Ashtanga instructor; people believe these disciplines are diametrically opposed, but yoga is beyond exercise, beyond breathing, even beyond meditation. It's a philosophy that relies on the same consistency, specificity, and stoicism that any science does. Adopting yoga as a way of life is a constant reminder that nothing is serious, change is the only constant, and all is within one's potential.

I am a farmer, yogi and social justice activist. The Hot Spot Dupont community is such an important part of my life and I am honored to be part of it. I am grateful to all of the teachers who give the gift of guiding us through a moving meditation. I am grateful to each and every student who shares their energy every day.
