What if I’m not flexible?

This is the most common misconception that prevents people from coming to a yoga class. Yoga is not about how flexible you are, but about strengthening your body and spine in all directions. If you try your best and go to your personal “edge” you will get 100% of the benefits.

 
 
 

Why is the room heated?

The room is intentionally heated to warm your muscles and allow you to work deeper and safer. The heat also heals, helps prevent injuries, and promotes sweating which flushes toxins from your body.

 
 
 

Is this hot yoga series a cardiovascular workout?
Will I lose weight?

Yes, the 90 minute class is a cardio workout. No matter what your level of fitness, you will find this style of yoga very challenging. Each posture combines flexibility, strength and balance to work your whole body from your bones to your skin!

If you need to lose weight, with persistence, patience and dedication, you can lose inches and develop muscle tone and strength that might never come from other forms of exercise.

 
 
 

What are some of the benefits of this yoga series?

There are unlimited benefits to the original 26+2 hot yoga series. It reduces stress, increases blood circulation and improves strength and flexibility. Regular practice (at least three times a week) can reduce the symptoms of many chronic diseases (i.e. arthritis, diabetes, and thyroid disorders). It also promotes relaxation.

 
 
 

Do you have showers?

Yes, we have showers in the women's and men's locker rooms.

 
 
 

Can I rent a yoga mat and towel and buy water?

Yes, we have yoga mat rentals, towel rentals and we sell bottled water.

 
 
 

Is it okay to eat before class?

We recommend that you not eat 2-3 hours before class.

We highly recommend that you not consume coffee or any type of caffeine on days when taking class.

 
 
 

What if I can't keep up with the class?

We encourage students to sit down or lie down if they are feeling overwhelmed.
